August Wallpaper of the Month

It's that time again, you know, when you get free stuff. This month I am pulling a picture from the archives that I took back in 2007. Cascade Creek is one of my absolute favorite places; its beauty is just outstanding. I'll let it speak for itself August

Elissa: Senior Portraits

These images are nothing "new" or "cutting edge", but they do have this simple beauty that goes beyond words.

Kyle and Denai: Tucson Wedding

Kyle and Denai got married at Christ Church United Methodist here in Tucson; and it made for a beautiful wedding. You don't see too many organs like the one here any more (or stained glass). The lighting was typical for a big church, but thankfully I was able to set up a wireless flash and get some beautiful lighting.

Denai's father shared a little about Denai and Kyle, and gave his blessing over the marriage.

Leaving the church for the reception; which was held at the University of Arizona Dance building

Many Blessings to Kyle and Denai

"Night Watch"

My friend Chris and I get together now and then for the sole purpose and creating some crazy pictures. These are the result of out Thursday night adventure in the dark. It's a challenge shooting a black subject in the dark; from focusing the composition; a little ambient light would go a long way. That is partially why I do this though, besides getting the creative juices flowing and having a good time, to learn.

Terra and Darren: Official Engagement Pictures

A few months back I did some portraits of Terra and Darren up by the Salt River Canyon. Although they weren't engaged then, they are officially engaged now! I love just sitting and watching them interact; they always seem to have a great time together no matter what they are doing. That is something special you don't see in every couple. I am really looking forward to their wedding in November as I know it is going to be something special.

This is probably my favorite picture from the shoot; I love their expressions!

I couldn't help but find the humor in this picture

Tucson Inn

I have been on a "retro Tucson" kick the last few days; and am having a great time with it. When it comes to retro, and Tucson; you don't get much more authentic than the Tucson Inn. Like a lot of similar places it is unfortunately not in the best of shape. Maybe though; that is why it fascinates me so much.

Summer Nights

Downtown Tucson is one of those odd places where as soon as the soon goes down; they roll up the sidewalks. It reminds me of a one stop, blink and you miss it towns; on a grand scale. Besides the downtown transit center; it is a quiet place. Downtown is however undergoing a huge revitalization project with the goal that it will give the city a greater sense of place. Maybe in five years this scene will be a vastly different place.

Hi, my name is Penny

I'm an absolutely adorable puppy; what more really needs to be said.

"Hey, what are you doing down there?"

"Dad, don't leave me on this table"

"Someday..."

Jimmy and Sarah

They say photographing your family is the hardest thing to do; when it comes to my dad it is so true, I would rather pull teeth. My brother and sister-in-law on the other hand were great to work with. Everything was still amazing green their for being the middle of July; felt a lot like spring.

Men's Camping

Last weekend just before heading back to Arizona I went up camping with a couple guys I used to attend church with. They were having their men's weekend while their wives had a weekend of their own. I don't fit the married category yet; but I do fit the adventurous man category and had a great time. We cooked steaks, ate S'mores, played with sharp objects, climbed mountains, destroyed things, went swimming and worshiped God; you know, man stuff! I did however, being an Arizona boy as of late; skip the swimming in the freezing lake. Enjoy
